At this concert works by Beethoven and Brahms will be performed by the pianist Rudolf Buchbinder and the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Fabio Luisi.

Rudolf Buchbinder, once the youngest student of the Vienna Academy of Music, is now one of the most well‐known veteran interpreters of Beethoven. Fabio Luisi, ex‐Music Director of the 500‐year‐old Dresden Staatskapelle, is a much sought‐after conductor all over the world. Their collaboration ensures a most illuminating performance of Beethoven and Brahms.
