After pickup from your hotel at either 9am or 3pm, head to the starting point for your horseback riding tour. A 20‐minute drive takes you to the horse stables, which sits in a beautiful location surrounded by pine forest. No previous experience is required, and your guide accompanies you throughout the ride. Expect to ride for 1.5 hours and take a break to swim in a river. Additional Information on horse riding tours: Some riding experience is recommended as there are several areas where you may be required to dismount and walk the horse and then mount the horse again to continue the tour. The Turkish cowboy will be with you the entire time for assistance but you will be expected to handle your horse during the tour. Helmets are available at the ranch upon request. Depending on the season, a light jacket may be necessary as you will be at different elevations during the tour. Comfortable clothing and flat shoes are recommended.

05C — Riding and Relaxation

Spend a relaxed day in the countryside! We start the day with a tour in the surroundings f our farm and we ride for 2,5‐3 hours through lava fields and meadows. After the tour a light lunch at our comfortable Hotel Eldhestar. We then take you to Hveragerði's excellent swimming pool to soften up in the warm, soothing geothermal water of the hot pot or relax in the steam sauna. The program ends with coffee and home‐baked cake at our farm. Please note: The tour is suitable for all levels of riding experience from beginners to advanced. During booking process, we ask our clients to inform us about their riding experience, which helps us to choose the right horse for everyone. Beginners and experienced riders ride together. We always try to tölt as much as possible, but do not gallop for safety reasons.
