El cuento popular ruso de Petrushka, un títere animado por un soplo de vitalidad y emociones, se entrelaza con Siegfried y L'arbre des songes (El árbol de los sueños) de Wagner, el Concierto para violín y orquesta de Henri Dutilleux dedicado a Isaac Stern e interpretado por el talentoso violinista suizo Sebastian Bohren. El concierto de Dutilleux, compuesto en 1985, fusiona al solista con el entorno orquestal, mientras que Waldweben, de Wagner, evoca el bosque encantado donde Siegfried se refugia en el segundo acto de la ópera. La profunda experiencia de Jac van Steen guiará al público a través de este viaje onírico.

Known colloquially as 'La Verdi', Milan's famed symphony orchestra was formed in the early 90s to supplement the city's already‐generous cultural offering. Making its home in Milan's Auditorio, La Verdi features among Europe's most respected and admired symphonic ensembles. Its first Musical Director, Ricardo Chailly, now holds the title of Conductor Laureate, while the Austrian conductor, Emmanuel Tjeknavorian, a fast‐rising star in the orchestral firmament took over the role of Musical Director in 2024, following in the footsteps of several major names in the classical world. La Verdi welcomes a starry roster of soloists and guest conductors over the course of an extensive and varied annual season, and regularly features as guests of honour at important state occasions and international concert engagements.
