La encantadora Scheherazade de Rimsky‐Korsakov, con los acordes iniciales interpretados por Luca Santaniello, concertino de la Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano, nos transporta a reinos exóticos para explorar, a través de nuestros sentidos y emociones, la historia de una mujer que cautivó a un sultán con sus relatos de Las mil y una noches. En este programa, el versátil talento del pianista y director Sunwook Kim nos ofrece esta obra maestra junto con una de las joyas del repertorio pianístico: el Cuarto concierto para piano y orquesta de Beethoven, en el que, por primera vez en la historia, el piano interrumpe el silencio inicial, precediendo a la tradicional introducción orquestal.

Making its home in Milan's Auditorio, La Verdi features among Europe's most respected and admired symphonic ensembles. Its first Musical Director, Ricardo Chailly, now holds the title of Conductor Laureate, while the Austrian conductor, Emmanuel Tjeknavorian, a fast‐rising star in the orchestral firmament took over the role of Musical Director in 2024, following in the footsteps of several major names in the classical world. La Verdi welcomes a starry roster of soloists and guest conductors over the course of an extensive and varied annual season, and regularly features as guests of honour at important state occasions and international concert engagements. |
