Ivan Fischer Conducts Bartok and Tchaikovsky

Über die Veranstaltung

Renowned conductor Ivan Fischer offers two of the most celebrated works of the orchestral repertoire.

Bartok's spectacular Music for Strings, Percussion and Celesta is one of only a handful of modern masterpieces that have managed to find their way into the repertoires of every major symphony orchestra. Tchaikovsky's fourth symphony was first performed in St. Petersburg in the Winter of 1878. It was not an instant success.
Over time however, this emotionally charged giant of a symphony has come to win over musicians and audiences alike and has become one of the most beloved and frequently performed orchestral works of the 19th century.
