Erleben Sie klassische Musik wie nie zuvor bei dieser erstaunlichen Aufführung der Vier Jahreszeiten von Vivaldi in Venedigs bemerkenswerter Chiesa di San Vidal.
Die vier Jahreszeiten ist Antonio Vivaldis berühmtestes Werk. Es handelt sich um eine Sammlung von vier Violinkonzerten, die die Jahreszeiten darstellen. Der Komponist ließ sich von der Landschaft um Mantua inspirieren, wo er während der Entstehungszeit des Werkes lebte, und verwob die Klänge von fließenden Bächen und singenden Vögeln in seiner Komposition.
San Vidal (San Vitale) ist ein venezianischer Konzert‐ und Veranstaltungssaal im Sestiere von San Marco, an einem Ende des Campo Santo Stefano.
Das Ende des 11. Jahrhunderts von Doge Vitale Falier zu Ehren seines Namensgebers errichtete Gebäude brannte nieder und wurde im 16. Jahrhundert wieder aufgebaut. Weitere Renovierungen waren im 17. Jahrhundert erforderlich und wurden im Stil der Zeit abgeschlossen. Der Innensaal hat eine gewölbte Decke, Gemälde von Pellegrini und Piazzetta aus dem 17. Jahrhundert und ein detailliertes Presbyterium von Vittore Carpaccio. Das Altarbild zeigt San Vidal zu Pferd mit acht Heiligen, die von oben von der Jungfrau mit dem Christuskind bewacht werden.
Der Komponist Baldassare Galuppi wurde hier begraben, obwohl seine Beerdigung in einer nahegelegenen Kirche namens Santo Stefano stattfand und kein Grabstein im Saal zu finden ist.

A vibrant and musically fine performance. The ensemble was excellent with the group responding and moving as one. The soloists were very fine players but virtuosity never took over from musicality. Clearly informed baroque performance practice. We have seen the group several times and it is always a joy.
