Travel to the Far East while staying in Beirut for a performance of Stravinsky's opera about a woodland bird.

In China, the Emperor delights in the sound of a nightingale's song, but the bird becomes jealous of the gift of a mechanical version, and flies away. The Emperor angrily banishes the forest songbird, but falls ill. The Court musicians tempt the bird back, and her song revives the ailing monarch.

Visiting from Russia, Helikon Opera present just one performance of this fairy tale opera from one of Russia's most famous and influential composers.
