Paganini of the Organ: Cameron Carpenter at the Palace of Arts Budapest

Über die Veranstaltung

If Paganini was the 'Devil's violinist', then Cameron Carpenter fits the bill when it comes to organ repertoire. He might look like a punk, but he's got astonishing musical flair.

Possessing a breathtaking technique and not averse to showmanship, this artist has rightly been dubbed the Paganini of the Organ. Paganini himself had a similarly ambivalent personality that swept audiences off their feet: on the one hand with his unusual appearance, and on the other hand his astonishing musicality and all but supernatural virtuosity.

Enjoy music by J.S. Bach as you've never heard it before, and experience pieces by Ravel, arranged by Cameron Carpenter himself.
