Concertos, Symphonies & Serenade: Ensemble Baroque de Nice

At the last concert of its season, the Ensemble Baroque de Nice performs selected works by Carl Philipp Emmanuel Bach, Porpora, Haydn, and Mozart at Saint‐François‐de‐Paule Church in Nice.

With this last program, conductor Gilbert Bezzina invites us to escape to the late Baroque, to the birth of classical repertoire, featuring symphonies by Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach, one of the main figures of this period, concertos by Porpora and by his pupil, Haydn, and of course Mozart, who once said about Carl Philipp: 'He is the father, we are children.'
