Tonight, Vasily Petrenko, the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, and a superb team of international singers take you on an incredible voyage through the timeless myths of Wagner’s great Ring Cycle, to the transcendent Third Act of Wagner’s Tristan und Isolde.

On a desolate shore by the Irish Sea, a broken Sir Tristan lies wounded and betrayed. He grasps at dreams, sighs with pain, and prays for the one thing that can still redeem him – the allconsuming love of his adored Isolde. Richard Wagner didn’t just write operas: he created worlds.
