Frederic Chopin
Frederic Chopin war ein polnischer Komponist und virtuoser Pianist des frühen 19. Jahrhunderts. Obwohl Chopin hauptsächlich kurze Werke für Klavier schrieb, umfasst sein Werk auch Klavierkonzerte, Kammermusikstücke und Lieder mit polnischen Texten. Chopin wird die Entwicklung des Konzepts der Instrumentalballade zugeschrieben, und seine Auftritte wurden durch ihre Sensibilität und ihr feines Detail gekennzeichnet. Chopin verbrachte den größten Teil seines Erwachsenenlebens in Paris und trat in der familiären Atmosphäre der Gesellschaftssalons auf, litt aber unter einem schlechten Gesundheitszustand und starb im Alter von 39 Jahren, wahrscheinlich an Tuberkulose.

Philippe Alegre was excellent. we got to St Julien le Pauvre early so we could have the best seats. his style of playing is very clean and his phrasing was really beautiful. he played a number of Chopin compositions — I love everything Chopin but particular enjoyed his Nocturne #20 C sharp and Nocturne #1 B flat minor, No 2 E flat Major and expecially Fantasie impromptuminor and
