Freising
Freising ist eine Universitätsstadt und Große Kreisstadt an der Isar unweit nördlich von München. Sie ist Verwaltungssitz des gleichnamigen Landkreises Freising und nach München, Ingolstadt und Rosenheim die viertgrößte Stadt im Regierungsbezirk Oberbayern. Die Stadt erlangte als frühmittelalterlicher Herzogs- und Bischofssitz und später als Fürstbistum große Bedeutung, die ab dem 15. Jahrhundert zunehmend auf München überging.
