La Traviata, die Geschichte einer Kurtisane, die sich gegen den Willen seines Vaters Giorgio Germont in den jungen Adligen Alfredo Germont verliebt. Die Geschichte diente auch als Vorlage für die Filme „Moulin Rouge“ mit Nicole Kidman und „Pretty Woman“ mit Richard Gere und Julia Roberts. Die Oper wird von der Opera Company Florence aufgeführt und jeder Akt wird auf Englisch erklärt.

We had a wonderful evening last night. The performers were incredible and really brought Verdi’s opera to life. The singing and piano playing was really amazing, and it was wonderful to hear opera in such an intimate setting. Do not miss this experience when you are in Florence!

The performers were outstanding. I thought it would be an amateur event, given the venue….but I was SO wrong! They were top class and very professional. I didn’t understand why it wasn’t sold out?! The prices were quite high for such a small venue and setting….maybe that was the reason? I don’t know. People missed out on a real treat though. Thanks so much to all involved. I had a very special evening. X
