Waldstein‐Sonate

О событии

The Bohemian Count Waldstein gave young Beethoven a famous motto to take with him on his way to Vienna: 'Receive Mozart's genius from Haydn's hands'. Already in his early cello sonatas, the Bonn composer lived up to this maxim. Markus Schirmer and Danjulo Ishizaka succumb to the 'Sturm und Drang' (Storm and Stress) of these sonatas. In the centre of this evening: The 'Waldstein Sonata' with which Beethoven thanked his former mentor in a most magnificent manner.
