Merūnas Vitulskis Recital: Chamber Music Series

This chamber music evening can be described as a musical portrait of two young Lithuanian musicians: Tenor Merūnas Vitulskis and pianist Justas Šervenikas perform works by Schumann, Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninov and Glinka.

Merūnas Vitulskis is gaining wide recognition, appearing at the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre, and participating in various international festivals and charity events. As a finalist of the 19th Vocal and Instrumental Competition “Societa Umanitaria” (Milan, Italy) he toured Europe in 2010 autumn. Born to a family of musicians pianist Justas Šervenikas, student of the music academies of Lithuania and Hanover (Germany), has appeared with Lithuanian orchestras throughout Lithuania. Recently he has focused on chamber music.

The two musicians have given a number of concerts; together with actor J. Braškys appeared at the “Music above the Old Town” festival presenting a programme dedicated to Schumann.
