Chloë Hanslip & Czech National Symphony Orchestra

Über die Veranstaltung

Libor Pešek conducts the Czech National Symphony Orchestra with British violinist Chloë Hanslip at the Municipal House in Prague.

American composer Philip Glass avoids the term Minimalism, preferring to express his style as music with repetitive structures. His Violin Concerto was played to great acclaim several years ago by the English violinist Chloe Hanslip on a tour of Great Britain. She was accompanied by the Czech National Symphony Orchestra.

A great many of Dvořák’s compositions are charged with the powerful emotions he experienced during his trip in the United States, however it is his Ninth Symphony in E minor which expresses these feelings the most. It premiered at New York’s Carnegie Hall on 16.12.1893 and became a sensational success, earning Dvořák star status overnight.
