World music is folk music — this could be the motto for the popular Frauenhofer Saitenmusik, which is now performing once again at the Nymphenburg Palace Concerts.
The Frauenhofer Saitenmusik brings together four musicians, each of whom is a master of his or her field and yet all of whom merge into a new harmonic sound as a matter of course, demonstrating that folklore in domestic music does not have to be honest, but must above all touch the listener — and Frauenhofer Saitenmusik succeeds effortlessly!
