This concert series is one of a kind in Krakow. Enjoy this unique opportunity to connect with Jewish culture at its source — in the stunning atmosphere of the 17th century house of prayer — the Isaac Synagogue, with concerts performed by the acclaimed ensemble Tempero.

Kracow Klezmer Concerts in Isaac Synagogue take place in the Jewish district Kazimierz, in one of the best preserved and biggest synagogues, at present used by Hassidic Chabad Lubavith Community. This concert series is an artistic attempt to preserve the heritage of Kazimierz, where Jewish tradition flourished until World War II, during which the city lost nearly all of its Jewish identity due to the occupation and holocaust.

The concerts are performed by the ensemble Tempero. This highly skilled ensemble consists of professional musicians trained at the Krakow Music University. Tempero performs standards of Klezmer music and joins traditional motifs of Jewish folk music with a modern approach to chamber music while presenting original arrangements and entirely new works which perfectly reflect the atmosphere of contemporary Kazimierz.
