Ibermúsica Presents: London Symphony Orchestra

London's oldest orchestra and one of the world's leading symphony groups, the London Symphony Orchestra, opens the 49th season of Ibermúsica under the baton of Nikolai Znaider and a solo performance by Denis Kozhukhin.
The violinist and the band work together very often, showing great complicity. And although it is true that both are regulars of the cycle, Znaider will be on the podium for the first time in Ibermúsica. The highlight of this season's opening will be the 2010 Queen Elizabeth winning pianist, Denis Kozhukhin, who will perform Tchaikovsky's No. 1 Piano and Orchestra Concerto. The Russian pianist recorded this work with the Rundfunk‐Sinfonieorchester Berlin and Sinaisky, receiving critical acclaim and being chosen 'Editor's Choice' by Gramophone and 'Record of the Month' by Fono Forum and Stereophone.
