Chiesa di S. Paolo entro le Mura
Pawła za Murami był pierwszym niekatolickim kościołem zbudowanym w Rzymie po zjednoczeniu Włoch. Kościół został zbudowany w latach 1873-1880 jako bazylika anglikańska w dzielnicy Castro Pretorio przy Via Nazionale w Rzymie. Zbudowana w stylu gotyckiego odrodzenia, charakterystyczna fasada zewnętrzna charakteryzuje się naprzemiennymi czerwonymi i wapiennymi cegłami. Cztery spektakularne mozaiki autorstwa angielskiego prerafaelity Edwarda Burne-Jonesa, we współpracy z Williamem Morrisem, są ukoronowaniem wnętrza kościoła. Wprawne oko dostrzeże kilka słynnych dziewiętnastowiecznych postaci wśród tych reprezentujących ojców kościoła na wyszukanych mozaikach, wśród nich samego artystę, znanych darczyńców i ich rodziny, a także Abrahama Lincolna, Giuseppe Garibaldiego i generała Granta wśród "chrześcijańskich wojowników". W tym miejscu odbywa się wiele wspaniałych wydarzeń klasycznych, w tym występy popularnych oper, takich jak La Traviata.

Très beau concert dans une église magnifique comme toutes celles de Rome. Attention pour l'adresse de l'église. Il faut aller à l'église San Paolo entro les murs. Quand on ne connaît pas encore bien Rome, on peut se perdre car il y a 2 églises San Paolo. 1 vers le métro pyramide et l'autre vers le métro république. Celle du concert est au métro république.

I loved the music and everything was wonderful, the singers were very talented and the accompanying musicians were as well … The only minor drawbacks were the venue was a little warm, which didn’t bother me too much but I noticed a couple people leave halfway through. And the only other minor issue was the acoustics, at times it was hard to hear the singer over the instruments but overall I loved it!
