Outdoor performance was an important part of life at the royal courts of Europe in the 17th and 18th centuries. Relive the tradition at this open‐air concert by Alfredo Bernardini and his Zefiro Ensemble in a special formation, featuring 24 oboes, 12 bassoons, a contrabassoon, 9 trumpets, 9 horns, and three sets of kettle drums.
Groupe F provides a thrilling fireworks display to accompany Händel's "Music for the Royal Fireworks" at the close of the evening.
