Robert Trevino leads laVerdi for the last appointment dedicated to the complete Brahmsian Symphonies. Composed over two years, Symphonies Nos. 3 and 4 represent a fundamental turning point in the history of this musical form: after having made Beethoven's art his own, Brahms in fact goes beyond passing from a titanic heroism to a more human, but no less tragic, bourgeois heroism. The doors of the twentieth century would not have been slow to open.
