Santa Maria della Pietà
Kościół Santa Maria della Pietà, czasami nazywany "della Visitazione", jest znanym kościołem w Wenecji we Włoszech. W czasie budowy, między 1745 a 1760 rokiem, przylegał do szpitala-sierocińca zwanego "Ospedale della Pietá", co jest kluczem do powiązania kościoła z Vivaldim. Zaprojektowany przez Giorgio Massariego budynek nie został ukończony zgodnie z jego pierwotnym planem, choć nie zmniejszyło to jego ostatecznego blasku. Nad wejściem znajduje się duża płaskorzeźba stworzona przez Marsili w 1800 roku, przedstawiająca cnotę Miłosierdzia. Freskowane sufity i prezbiterium zostały stworzone przez Tiepolo, przedstawiając Pokój, Siłę i Triumf Wiary, anielskich muzyków i cnoty teologiczne. Fantastic way to spend an hour, in a place that was such a pat of Vivaldi's life. Musicianship was outstanding, and the church made it very atmospheric.

The musicians were fantastic. The setting in the historic church was exquisitely unique. The acoustics made the experience an unforgettable one. It is very hot inside the church, so dress comfortably and bring a hand fan. Additionally, there are no toilets. The nearest public WC is ~8 mins away.
