Verdi's Rigoletto: Budapest Spring Festival

Richard Wagner and Giuseppe Verdi, these two key figures of 19th‐century opera, were born 200 years ago. In 2013, the Budapest Spring Festival contributes a grand Verdi Day to the bicentennial celebrations indlucing a performance of Rigoletto. On this day, they will not only evoke the spirit of the composer, but will use his unforgettable melodies to introduce an exceptionally rich and colourful operatic oeuvre to “the man in the street.”
