Krzysztof Warlikowski, one of today's most exciting stage directors, offers his interpretation of Georg Friedrich Händel's first oratorio, "Il Trionfo del Tempo e del Disinganno". Händel‐expert Emmanuelle Haïm conducts, with an ensemble of soloists at the peak of their abilities.

Premiered to great acclaim in Rome in 1707, Händel's work focusses on the allegorical figures of Beauty, Pleasure, Time, and Truth. With stunning arias, concertos, and ensemble sections, the oratorio offers ample dramatic material for Warlikowski's artistry.

Sung in Italian, with French and English surtitles
