Travel through time with conductor Nicola Luisotti as he weaves together two hundred years of musical history starting with Verdi's Force of Destiny. Luisotti is accompanied by star violinist Gil Shaham, who ushers us into the modern period with Stravinsky's Concerto in D Major.

Also on the programme is Prokofiev's Symphony No. 3, perhaps his most beautiful and bewitching, with material from the L’Ange de Feu, and Tchaikovsky's Capriccio, a whimsical interpretation of his travels through Italy.
