Salomé Haller & Soloists of Ensemble Intercontemporain: Stravinsky & Schoenberg
O wydarzeniu
There was a time that Stravinsky was synonymous with conservatism and Schoenberg with progress. And yet, though the two composers had little appreciation for one another, their trajectories appear to us today as having many parallels.
In The Soldier's Tale, Stravinsky toys delightfully with the trivial aspect of marches, tango, waltz, and ragtime. The conception of Schoenberg's Pierrot lunaire could not have been more different, with its fin‐de‐siècle atmosphere and the expressionism of the stylized Sprechstimme vocal performance style. Take this unique opportunity to compare and contrast!
A pre‐concert event will be offered at Médiathèque from 19:00 to 19:45. Entrance is free with a telephone reservation at 01 44 84 44 84.
