The Concertgebouw brings Hollywood home with SummerNight at the Movies. Heinz Walter Florin, a film composer himself, leads the Nordwestdeutsche Philharmonie in classic music from Hollywood soundtracks. Highlights include tracks from movies like 'Jaws' and 'Gone with the Wind'. Radio presenter Christiaan Kuyvenhoven will be your guide to the stars this evening.

Highlights of Hollywood

Music is an integral part of the cinematic experience. The music of John Williams is at the heart of this edition of SummerNight at the Movies. Without him, Indiana Jones would be without his swagger, and E.T. would have been much less moving. Star Wars and Jurassic Park likewise owe much of their drama to Williams' music. The Nordwestdeutsche Philharmonie evokes the spirit of almost twenty films, from Lord of the Rings and Mission: Impossible to Captain America.
