Pictures: The RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra

O wydarzeniu

The RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra performs its programme 'Pictures' with solo‐trumpetist Sergei Nakariakov under the baton of Alpaslan Ertüngealp.

Sergei Nakariakov was thirteen years old when he performed at the Korsholm Music Festival. He was dubbed ‘the Paganini of the trumpet’ by the Finnish press, and the San Francisco Chronicle wrote: “Sergei Nakariakov plays the trumpet the way the rest of us breathe – if we are lucky.”

The artist will be accompanied by the orchestra which will be conducted by Alpaslan Ertüngealp, a Turkish conductor, whom we all know very well.

We are especially excited by the adaptation of the Russian composer, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s witty and charming ‘Variations on a Rococo Theme’, which was written by the soloist.
The works of Wolgang Amadeus Mozart are widely considered as a touchstone for every artist. His horn concerto, performed this time with trumpet and orchestra, will undoubtedly prove to be a fantastic treat for the audience.
Alpaslan Ertüngealp will conduct the orchestra during the performance of two brilliant Russian compositions, ‘The Tempest’ by P. I Tchaikovsky, which was inspired by the play of the same name by W. Shakespeare, and ‘Pictures at an Exhibition’, a suite of ten movements by M. Mussorgsky. The composition was originally written for piano, but the arrangement for orchestra written by the French impressionist, M. Ravel, is the one that is the most well known.
