Parsifal: Opéra National de Paris
O wydarzeniu
Witness the magnitude of opera repertoire and let yourself fall under the spell of Wagner's Parsifal, a work of unique beauty and grandiose dimensions.
Philosophical and layered in symbols, Parsifal, loosely based on the epic poem of the Arthurian knight Percival and his quest for the Holy Grail, is a meditation on the fight between good and evil. Wagner conceived his work as a 'Bühnenweihfestspiel', a word that can be translated as 'A Festival Play for the Consecration of the Stage', indicating the majestic nature of the work. A true challenge for any director, Richard Jones completes this new production with a triumphant grace alongside conductor Simone Young.
