There are probably as many ways to celebrate this event as there are people on this earth. The «Austrian» way is highly popular even beyond the country’s borders. In line with tradition, the Tonkünstler under Alfred Eschwé have presented the audience with an ingeniously arranged programme for many years: arias and instrumental pieces from operas and operettas, entertaining masterpieces written by popular composers and a top‐class line‐up of singers make the turns of the year a very special occasion.
