Music, Art & Food from the Imperial Age to the Baroque

O wydarzeniu

Tales of gladiators, martyrs, emperors, popes, and princes: This event is a journey through time to discover sounds, visions and flavors of Rome through the ages.

Begin with a guided tour in one of the most extraordinary locations of Imperial Rome: the Stadium of Domitian, which is the only example of a stadium built in masonry ever built in Ancient Rome.

The journey continues in a reserved hall where you will experience art, music, and food from Imperial Rome to the Renaissance and Baroque eras, witnessing the transformation of the stadium into one of the most famous squares in the world: Piazza Navona (Navona Square), a jewel of Reinassance and Baroque Art.

The musical compositions are played on period instruments: Kythara, Pandura, Tympanon, Obliqua Tibia for the Imperial Age, Lute, Traversa, Renaissance and Baroque Guitar for the rest. The menu stems from research by a chef‐archaeologist using ancient sources.

An unforgettable way to experience the sights, sounds, and tastes of Ancient Rome.
