Mozart, Don Giovanni in Madrid
O wydarzeniu
Enjoy Mozart's great opera "Don Giovanni" this season at the magnificient Teatro Real in Madrid, with Christine Schäfer and Ainhoa Arteta.
If the myth of Faust has been linked historically Protestant north, Don Juan is the quintessential myth of the Catholic south. Played by many playwrights, including Tirso de Molina, Moliere and Goldoni, in music countless composers have written more than 80 operas about this character, but certainly Mozart's Don Giovanni is the most beloved.
This opera of operas must be thought and represented in new ways to provide more light on this archetype, and certainly this Dmitri Tcherniakov proposal, accompanied by Alejo Perez in front of the Orchestra, brimms imagination and originality.
