During this thrilling weekend with the Ensemble contemporain, great instrumentalists and conductor Bruno Mantovani invite audiences to question everything and to go beyond the traditional boundaries of concertizing.

In addition to their performances in the Cité de la Musique, the musicians of the Ensemble intercontemporain will play in unusual spaces, investing thought into the question of the rapport between soloist and ensemble in varied works from a number of genres.

The fecund tension created between the individual and the collective, explored by sociologist Michel Maffesoli, is the subject of today's world premiere, Totalsolo, a work by Philippe Leroux.
