Les Arts Florissants: Serious Songs, Drinking Songs
O wydarzeniu
During the Grand Siècle, drawing‐room audiences always welcomed the court aria as one of the most refined musical genres of the Baroque.
With one or several voices, with instruments or not, “serious” or “drinking”, the court aria represents the essence of French taste, mingling the delicate rhymes of suggestive poetry with the expressive tones of graceful music.
Guests holding tickets in the Prestige category, in addition to enjoying the best seats in the house, will be offered a glass of Champagne and a program.
