James Conlon, Orchestre de Paris : Dvořák Requiem
O wydarzeniu
Be inspired by American conductor James Conlon as he leads the way into Antonín Dvořák's powerful Requiem, Op. 89. Conlon returns this season to the Orchestre de Paris with soprano Melanie Diener and bass George Zeppenfeld.
Influenced by the work of Berlioz, Verdi and Brahms, Dvořák wrote this piece for his beloved England. A work of religious devotion, Dvořák's Requiem traces the path from the darkness of the Old Testament into the world of the New Testament, leading the listener by way of powerful vocal and choral compositions into the light.
Additional performances by mezzo‐soprano Ekaterina Semenchuk and tenor Sergey Semishkur.
