Ictus opts resolutely for new music — but always with half an eye on what came before. Today's composers take a distinctive look at contemporary 'classics' that — thanks to De Keersmaeker's dance and De Mey's video — turn into multimedia spectacles. The instant classic 'Liquid Room' mixes improvisation and performance on three stages, while the Ictus Zone turns the spotlight on a new generation of musicians and ensembles.
