The venue was historic and fascinating and the pianist played an exquisite performance. His Chopin pieces were played with such feeling and virtuosity.

It was a lovely evening, and the change in the exact program and performer made no difference given the immense talent of Julien Poirier combined with the acoustic qualities of the site. I can't help but wonder if the multinational audience wouldn't benefit from a brief presentation of the evening's program and the performer.
