The countryside calls at Grafenegg! The American star conductor Lawrence Foster, the Tonkünstler Orchestra Niederösterreich and the pianist Irena Gulzarova are setting off on a picture‐book outing to the country: Weber’s «Freischütz» followed by Liszt’s Second Piano Concerto, a work full of romantic soundscapes and virtuosic images. After the interval, Beethoven’s famous «Pastorale» will be heard for the first time on the Wolkenturm, captivating the audience with its tales of rural life.
