Golden Songs from Shanghai: Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra

In this concert, Tsung Yeh, Music Director of the Singapore Chinese Orchestra who hails from Shanghai, will lead the HKCO in a concert that conjures up the enticing charms of Old Shanghai through such signature tunes as The Wandering Singsong Girl, made famous by the legendary songbirds, Zhou Xuan and by Bai Guang.

He will be joined on the concert stage by Fang Qiong, famous vocalist from the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, and Liu Yang, the Zhonghu Principal of the HKCO. The orchestral arrangements of those famous songs will tell not only stories through music, but also a star‐studded bygone era in the legendary city of Shanghai.
