German Unification Day: Concerts at the Cathedral of Berlin

The Leipziger Bach‐Collegium and Ludwig Güttler present works by Bach and others at this concert commemorating one of the most significant German national holidays.

The cathedral's classical programme presents performances by renowned local, national and international artists. The church itself also hosts two great choirs — the Berliner Domkantorei and the Staats‐ und Domchor Berlin, which perform regularly during church services and in a special concert series at the cathedral.

The Berliner Dom (Berlin Cathedral) is located on the historic 'Museum Island' and was rebuilt in 1905. It has a richly decorated interior and the magnificent Sauer organ, which was built at the same time as the cathedral. Today, the Sauer organ is the largest organ of the "late Romantic" period.

The programme offers excellent performances of classical music in the incomparable atmosphere of one of Europe's most impressive basilica cathedrals.
