Crucifixus: Osterklang
O wydarzeniu
A selection of sacred Russian choral works by Pavel Chesnokov, Dimitri Bortnianski, and Sergei Rachmaninoff, among others, will be heard during the Easter festival, Osterklang.
The conclusion and, at the same time, the culmination of Lent is Holy Week. At its center stands the Crucifixus est, the central sacrificial death. The choir of the Alexander Nevsky Monastery in St. Petersburg, consisting of students and graduates of the Theological Academy, offers in this concert at the Minoritenkirche an insight into the Septuagesima liturgy of the Russian Orthodox Church.
