Champions in Concert: Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra

Four musical champs will meet at this concert in Hong Kong. Sun Peng leads the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra and the King's Harmonica will be joined by soloists Sun Huang and Su Chang.

On July 24, 2011, Sun Peng walked away with the laurel of the world’s first ever International Conducting Competition for Chinese Music, held in Hong Kong. Now armed with the musicality honed over two years, he is returning to the conductor’s podium in Hong Kong to conduct his winning work, Flowing Phantasm with the HKCO.

Also sharing the stage in this concert are three other champs in their respective musical fields: Sun Huang, The King’s Harmonica Quintet and Su Chang, who will be playing Erhu Rhapsody No. 4, Romanian Folk Songs and Lady Yang’s Heavenly Dress.
