Carmen: Ballet at Theater an der Wien

O wydarzeniu

Members of the National Ballet of Norway bring Bizet's "Carmen" to the stage of Theater an der Wien, in a dance choreographed by Liam Scarlett. Per Kristian Skalstad leads the Vienna Chamber Orchestra.

The story of Carmen and the questions raised about the meaning and substance of love are timeless. For the protagonist, love is free and untameable, an opinion that is not shared by all of her lovers. Carmen's eternal desire for freedom will eventually lead to her death.
