Benjamin Millepied / Maurice Béjart: Ballet de l'Opéra National de Paris
O wydarzeniu
Revel in the enticing dance of two ballets featuring the music of Maurice Ravel and choreography by Benjamin Millepied and Maurice Béjart.
The highly anticipated evening is immersed in the themes of love and seduction. Millepied presents his version of Daphnis et Chloé with a partition that Ravel originally composed in 1912 at the request of Diaghilev, the founder of the Ballets Russes. Created in 2013, Millepied's vibrant and sensitive choreography is accompanied by settings and costumes full of chromatic variations by French contemporary artist Daniel Buren.
In 1961, Maurice Béjart created his Boléro, in which a single soloist, man or woman, dances on a large scarlet red table, captivating the audience and drawing the rest of the group into the dance.
