Bartók Anniversary Concert: Budapest Spring Festival
O wydarzeniu
Zoltán Kocsis and the Hungarian National Philharmonic have established a tradition with concerts given on March 25th. Enjoy a performance of works by Beethoven and Bartók under the baton of Zoltán Kocsis.
On these occasions, Béla Bartók’s music is unfailingly recharged with a new energy, whether by a novel mode of performance, or by the context provided by the work of a fellow composer, such as the one closest to him, Zoltán Kodály. Most recently, Kocsis established a resonance between Bartók and one of his most influential contemporaries, Igor Stravinsky, while at the next Spring Festival he will create reflections between the Hungarian composer and a classic masterpiece.
