The Concertgebouw presents an all‐star trio with violinist Isabelle Faust, cellist Jean‐Guihen Queyras and pianist Alexander Melnikov.

The program opens with a spellbinding musical tale full of contradictions in Schumann's Piano Trio No. 1, followed by Sciarrino's Piano Trio No. 2, a work full of mysterious nightly sounds. The concert concludes with Schubert's striking Piano Trio in B flat, though composed at the same time as his Winterreise, it takes a much more optimistic tone.
