Orkiestra Sinfonica di Miano oddaje hołd głębokiej kreatywności wybitnej postaci XX wieku: Luciano Berio, który w latach 2000–2003 pełnił funkcję honorowego dyrygenta LaVerdi. Orkiestra Symfoniczna w Mediolanie zaprezentuje koncert inauguracyjny Compass, recital skomponowany na fortepian i orkiestrę (1994), który pięknie łączy muzykę i architekturę. Jest to idealna uroczystość z okazji stulecia urodzin Berio, w której udział bierze „florencki” zespół wyjątkowych muzyków: Andrea Lucchesini na fortepianie i Diego Ceretta jako dyrygent. Known colloquially as 'La Verdi', Milan's famed symphony orchestra was formed in the early 90s to supplement the city's already‐generous cultural offering. Making its home in Milan's Auditorio, La Verdi features among Europe's most respected and admired symphonic ensembles. Its first Musical Director, Ricardo Chailly, now holds the title of Conductor Laureate, while the Austrian conductor, Emmanuel Tjeknavorian, a fast‐rising star in the orchestral firmament took over the role of Musical Director in 2024, following in the footsteps of several major names in the classical world. La Verdi welcomes a starry roster of soloists and guest conductors over the course of an extensive and varied annual season, and regularly features as guests of honour at important state occasions and international concert engagements.
