Experience opera under the stars at one of the most beautiful locations in France. Opéra en Plein Air presents Verdi's "La Traviata" in a production staged by the iconic Arielle Dombasle.
Set in Paris of the 1850's, "La Traviata" is the tragic story of the ailing courtesan, Violetta, who finds sincere love, but abandons it to save her beloved nobleman, Alfredo from scandal. The opera includes some of Verdi's most well‐known and moving arias and duets.

Location
The Hôtel National des Invalides is one of Paris' defining monuments. Built in the 17th century as a military housing complex, the palatial structure now holds a military museum. The performance is held in the majestic "Cour d'Honneur", the ceremonial courtyard of the complex.
Summer opening hours for the museum
Monday to Sunday: 10 am to 6 pm (Admission to the museum is not included in the price of the opera ticket.)
