Handel'in Mesih'i, elbette, dünyaca ünlü bir Alleluia'dır. Ancak bu görkemli koro, en çeşitli duygularla dolu bir partitürün içindeki birçok hazineden sadece biridir. Üç tablo halinde bölünmüş bu iki buçuk saat boyunca Handel, İsa'nın Doğumu'nu, Çarmıha Gerilme'yi ve Kurtarıcı'nın Dirilişi'ni, en parlak sevinçten en boğucu trajediye kadar, görkemli bir koro eşliğinde bir partitürde anlatır. Her şeyden öte, bestecinin mutlak samimiyeti ve bu isimsiz gerçek tutkuya kattığı olağanüstü canlılık ön plana çıkar. 1742'de muzaffer bir şekilde prömiyerini yapan Mesih, Viktorya dönemi İngiltere'sinde devasa kutlamalara dönüşerek İngiliz ve Avrupa müzik hayatından bir daha hiç çıkmayacaktır.

It was all good. the choir, the lead singers, the orchestra. We had a wonderful time. one thing that wasn't good, the chairs. These were so uncomfortable. especially when you have to seat for a long 3 hours

The music was beautiful but it was Sooo… cold sitting in the church. Also extremely uncomfortable cained backed chairs!

It was great to listen to the Messiah again and the choir was amazing. I really liked the interpretations in the minor pieces. However, this church is not very well suited for such a concert, there is a lot of noise that comes from outside.
